TOBAGO CAYS
The Tobago Cays are a collection of small, deserted islets just off Mayreau, which is protected by a horseshoe reef and surrounded by splendidly clear turquoise waters. Many consider the Tobago Cays to be the crown jewels of the Grenadines. The islands, which are rocky and cactus-studded, have tiny coves and beaches of powdery white sand-some of which are the most beautiful in the Caribbean. The Cays offer great opportunities for snorkelling and diving on the Horseshoe reef and wall, and for windsurfing.
The Tobago Cays have been designated as a national park. Several measures have been taken to protect the area, including the installation of moorings and prohibitions against the taking of marine life.
